Sharon McConnell believes that you don't have to save the "good china" for special occasions. Everyday objects can be both useful AND beautiful.
Sharon has always been interested in the arts. Her family encouraged her to participate in music and dance throughout her childhood; she went on to study drawing and two dimensional design at the University of Wisconsin. While she was there she met her husband Dennis, who was pursuing an art degree.
A fused glass class introduced Sharon to a new art form -- one that had color and depth. Glass has become the perfect medium for her to make everyday objects into an art form! Sharon is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her work with others.
Beauty is only skin deep- unless you are talking about glass. Your enjoyment of fused glass isn't just on the surface. Look inside and see layers, angles, lines and color.
My art focuses heavily on one idea: that things can be lovely and useful at the same time. I invite you to use my fused glass to make your day a little more bright and exciting!
